Job Description
Breakthrough Design Group is looking for a Front-End Web Developer / Designer to work on a part-time basis of 20-30 hours/week with potential for full-time hire. You will be working from the office or remotely at times. Your primary responsibilities will be creating designs and layouts for professional web sites, web software applications, emails, and other web/mobile applications as needed, producing HTML and CSS to implement these designs, and communicating these designs with PHP developers. You will also help with Search Engine Optimization upgrades, WordPress theme development, search marketing (paid & organic), and social media marketing.
Requirements:- Experience with Adobe: Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver (InDesign a plus)
- Currently active sites
- Fluency in HTML, CSS
- Experience w/ JavaScript
- Experience in cross-browser compatibility in IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome.
- Ability to work with web developers in integrating design and functionality.
- Knowledge of search engine optimization techniques, and effects on traffic
- Experience with WordPress
- Formal education in (or love for) art or design
- Love for Typography
- jQuery development
- Experience working with grid-based layouts (e.g. 960.gs)
- Experience w/ PHP & MySQL, CodeIgniter Framework
- Gmail / Google Apps user
- Experience w/ Google Adwords
- Experience w/ Google Analytics
- iPhone, iPad, or Droid owner
- Facebook, Twitter Accounts
- Knowledge of DNS Zone Records: A, MX, & CNAME Records
